QQPK is an Asian poker site that started as a mobile app and has by now introduced a desktop app. The vast majority of players are Asian so the peak hours are European midday and afternoon, morning on the American continents.

No limit holdem (ring games and zoom) is the most popular game by far and games are running around the clock. PLO which is my favourite only runs sporadically, but when I’ve sat down to wait I’ve gotten opponents within 30 minutes most of the times.ย

Because of the slow PLO action it has taken me quite a while to play enough hands to review this site, I apologize to those of you that have been waiting expectantly. However, I did venture out of my comfort zone and played a few thousand holdem hands in the end, so I could finally make this happen! The headlines below will get filled out in the coming 2 weeks.

By signing up with my code PULVRET you’ll enter Pulvret QQPK Monthly Rake Chase and get $10 for every $50 of net rake.

Rake Structure

Below I give the rake for the different cash games offered.

Note that rake is always rounded up to the nearest cent. This has a noticable effect on $0.01/$0.02 (where the smallest pots become quite expensive) but is negligible above that.

Rewards System

The main rakeback on QQPK is determined by a ladder, that you climb as you play. It is also possible to go backwards if you don’t play for a while but it is a lot easier to move up than down. More on the exact mechanics below.ย

NLHE cash has daily leaderboards for some stakes, both ring games and zoom, but none for PLO cash at the moment. MTT has a weekly and a monthly leaderboard.

Finally there is a 100% first deposit bonus up to $888.

The VIP Ladder

The ladder start at level 1 with 10% rakeback and as we level up we get more and more rakeback. The ladder maxes out at level 20 with 60% rakeback.

The points earned counts towards leveling up and at the same time they go in to a “tier retention bank”. Each level has its retention countdown and at the end of that countdown the retention points for that level is deducted from the “tier retention bank”. If there are no more points in the bank I assume that we will move down one level but that hasn’t happened to me so I don’t know the exact mechanics of the level down.ย

It does take a lot to be downgraded, since the retention points are only a tenth of the points required to level up. Below I have collected all the relevant numbers for each level of the ladder.

The rakeback earned is collected in a coinbank and needs to reach a threshold before we can claim it. The threshold has increased with the levels and I haven’t reached it yet, but I don’t know if there is a ceiling for the threshold. I don’t think it increased when I leveled up from 6 to 7, and as you can see in the image below I have almost reached the $10 threshold now. I will update here when I know more.ย

The way in which we earn points (they call it credits) isn’t very transparent, this is the information given by QQPK:

Gain credits by playing games and participating in events. Your credits will determine your VIP level – the higher your level, the more rewards you’ll earn. Credits are awarded based on your gameplay activity. Not all activities contribute equally.

When I look at the rake I have paid I can see that I have earned approximately 22 points per raked dollar.ย

Leaderboards

Cashgame. There are daily leaderboards for holdem and zoom holdem, but none for PLO. You collect points towards the leaderboard by taking the actions in the images below, but there is an important caveat: 3 players must reach the flop or no points are given. In NLHE you can only get one point per hand, so it essentially counts hands where you have vpip and there are 3 players to the flop. In ZOOM NLHE the cap is 10 points per hand (12 during happy hours).

The leaderboards run daily 16:00-15:59 (UTC) and 04:00-07:00 are happy hours and all points are multiplied by 1.2.ย

Prizes are paid out as C$ which can be used to buy in at cash tables but can’t be cashed out as they are.ย

How points are earned

Every ITM (In The Money) finish earns points. Satellites don't count, and a tournament needs at least 32 entrants to be eligible.

  • Field size โ€” bigger tournaments are worth more
  • Buy-in โ€” higher stakes are weighted higher
  • Placement โ€” the better you finish, the more you earn
  • Timing โ€” results closer to the monthly cutoff carry extra weight, the closer the better

Brute force protection

While playing more tournaments obciously increase the chances, only the best 15 results a week and best 30 a month count.

Rewards

Prizes โ€” T$ that can be used to buy in to new MTT's but can't be cashed out โ€” are paid out once each leaderboard period ends, and must be manually claimed on the previous leaderboard page. The manual claim is according to the info in the app, if anyone can confirm or deny that manual claim is required please email me.

First Deposit Bonus

There is a 100% welcome bonus up to $888, in the app it’s called a “Top-up rebate”. Players have 90 days to clear it and 5 rebate points releases $1. The mechanics of rebate points aren’t very transparent, this is the information given by QQPK:

Rebate points are calculated based on the player’s overall gameplay activity, including but not limited to: table activity, participation frequency, and contribution in Cash Games & MTTs.

For me it equaled 17.5% extra rakeback during the 90 day period.

NOTE! Any earned/released bonus has to be claimed manually before the bonus period ends. Withdrawals during the bonus period voids the remainder of the bonus (including released but unclaimed bonus, already claimed bonus isn’t affected), according to the terms & conditions:
Any withdrawal or use of bonus features during this period will be considered a forfeit of the entire Rebate Pool, including released & unreleased portions.

Games and Traffic

NLHE and ZOOM NLHE are the main games and every time I log in there is plenty of action. Since it is an Asian site with mostly Asian players (so far) the peak should be European midday-afternoon and American morning-midday, but I haven’t tried to confirm this. However I have logged in morning, midday and evening here in Europe and always see a lot of holdem action.ย

PLO have action sometimes, but most of the times I have played I have simply sat down to wait and within a few minutes I’ve had action on my first table. The tables have rarely filled up so expect som heads-up and short-handed play.

They also offer AOF (allin or fold) and 6+ (short-deck holdem), but the few times I checked there haven’t been any action. It could be like PLO that you get opponents if you sit down to wait but I haven’t tried.

It’s a bit hard for me to judge the MTT schedule but it looks like there is a lot of traffic there and there are occasional bigger series and events.

Deposits and Withdrawals

Deposits are intant and free with crypto and the tokens in the table below are accepted. They offer fiat deposits from a few Asian countries and an e-wallet but I have no experience and very little knowledge of it. I recommend using crypto.

Withdrawals has to be minimum $100 and there is a fee, see the table below.

Software and Support

The software works ok but can be hard to navigate. First of all it is a mobile app platform that has later gotten a desktop app.

Initial setup: After you download the desktop app it looks like a phone emulator, you’ll need to navigate to Me > Settings > Switch to Landscape (Beta). Now the app will restart in landscape mode. The next thing to do (if you want to) is to get rid of the 4 table limit. Navigate to Setting > Basic Settings > Performance and select High. These Basic Settings are only available from the lobby, while the Table Setting can be reached both from the lobby and from the tables.

To reach support we need to navigate to the wallet and click the headset symbol. This opens a chat where customer support responds quickly and accurately. I have been very impressed with the quality of the support despite the language barrier, they must have a very good translation supplier. It’s kind of funny, when they respond you’ll first see a message of Chinese (I think) symbols, before it turns in to English.ย

Most things I have mentioned in this review are reachable from the home view; Leaderboards, Top-up Rebate, CoinBank and VIP dashboard. You’ll also find Ticket Store where you can get some 4 for the price of 3 type of deals on MTT tickets.

Allowed Tools

No third party trackers works with QQPK as far as I know. But I haven’t heard anything about them being forbidden and DriveHud has told me that they are planning to add support.

I have not been able to find out if table management and hot keys apps work and I never use them myself.

If anyone knows about a third party tool that works, or doesn’t work, please email me so I can update this page.

Availability & Compliance

QQPK is available in many regions, though access is restricted for residents of FATF blacklisted countries and any other jurisdictions the Anjouan Offshore Financial Authority deems prohibited. It remains the player’s responsibility to confirm that online poker is legal where they live. Here’s the exact quote from QQPK’s Terms ยง3.3:

You reside in a jurisdiction where gambling is permitted. You are not a resident of or located in a country or region that prohibits its residents or anyone within its territory from participating in online gambling.

QQPK also explicitly prohibits using VPNs or proxies to disguise your true location (ยง3.4).

Identity verification (KYC) isn’t required upfront, but can be requested at any point. This can include photo ID, proof of address, and in some cases a selfie or verification call (ยง8.2). Withdrawals are capped: $10,000 per month if your balance exceeds 10x your total deposits, otherwise $20,000 per month (ยง8.5).

QQPK’s terms include firm language on collusion, chip dumping, and other forms of fraud. Accounts suspected of any of this can be frozen or permanently closed during investigation, and the real names of players found guilty of cheating may be publicly disclosed (ยง23.2, ยง26.10).

QQPK operates under the laws of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of the Comoros, with disputes handled by the Anjouan Gambling Commission despite the operating company (QQPOKER Technology Limited) being registered in the British Virgin Islands.

This is not legal advice. Always check your local laws before playing.
